Error on startup: "setParamsHardware limitation"
We cannot fix this issue as it has to do with 3rd party plugins
used to create Mp3 my MP3 but hopefully this email from an MP3 My
MP3 user sheds some light on this issue.
an MP3 user writes this:
I've been using mp3mymp3 for quite some time now. In the past couple
days, however, the application has been throwing an error on startup,
"setParamsHardware limitation," and I am unable to use
it.
Well, here's a clue. I fixed it.
Last week I installed a new Logitech cam and microphone combination.
It changed the default input in my Audio settings in Control Panel.
When I got disgusted trying to make mp3mymp3 work after that (I
hadn't a clue at the time), I installed SoundTap. This morning,
I noticed SoundTap also installed audio drivers. I went into my
Audio settings, changed the default back to the sound card, and
voila! Mp3mymp3 works now.
Another user responded, found the workaround: Unplug the USB camera/microphone.
Source Selection/Volume Problems:
On some systems there may be issues concerning source selection
/ volume settings from within the Mp3 My Mp3 program..
Try opening your systems Sound Volume and Record
Settings windows directly, see buttons below (circled in
red below). This will allow you select sound sources, adjust volume
settngs and more.

The Volume Control window below allows you to set the "Master"
volume as well as individual volume settings for available sound
sources as well as mute particular sources.
Try muting unused sound sources to achieve a higher quality recording...
ie. mute microphone when recording from wave source.
The Recording Control window below allows you to select
and set the recording level for various sound sources.

Why is my saved recording in mono instead
of stereo?
Make sure your Mp3 Export Settings are set to "High"

The automatic start recording time doesnt seem to work?
After entering the time you simply must close the settings window
(This bug will be addressed next release).
The time should be entered as numbers only. ie 730 or 1055
Make sure proper AM or PM selected.
Where are my recorded files stored, i cant find them?
After you have finished a recording (by hitting white squared stop
button) 2 buttons will appear. (Circled in red below)
Recordings are stored in ram until saved using either of these
2 buttons, you will then be asked where you wish to save the recording.

Why does the program require a large amount of CPU resources?
One of the plugins used in the creation of this tool is a bit of
pig, it is planned to replace this technology completely in the
next major upgrade.
With each CPU release (newer computers) the problems becomes less
of an issue.
The program worked on my old machine but not on my new one,
whats up?
Depending upon the sound card and various other system properties
(some computers now use onboard sound as well) the program may or
may not work, this is one reason the program is available for free
and will remain that way.
We sincerely apologize to anyone who has spent their valuable time
to install and try out this program only to find it will not work
with their system/configuration. We are hoping to resolve these
issues in the next release!
